2014 Dub Show Miami Wrap Up

Introduction:

With summer being in full swing the 2014 Miami Dub Show packed with chrome, candy paint and all things that shine. Held in the South Beach Convention Center, there were plenty of cars, trucks and bikes that screamed for attention. Nothing was off-limits when it came to these custom cars.

Coolest Rides:

There were many interesting looks seen at the Dub Show this year. The muscle from Detroit, exotics from Japan and luxury from European makes all boasted massive wheels and even louder sound systems. The blacked out Dodge Challengers & Chargers that kept low profile tires but brought the bass. The number of classic convertibles were incredible and their owners showed amazing levels of detail towards keeping their rides pristine. High riding Oldsmobiles weren’t the only sight to see at the 2014 Dub Show in Miami. There were arrangements of neon and pearlescent motorcycles with extended swing arms and aggressiveness in their stance. The addition to neon lights underneath the steering rack to illuminate the bike’s cooling system is sensational for visual effect. There were even Chevy monster trucks lifted with 22″ rims to display utility and style.

The Aggressive Factor:

Like any Dub festival, there’s plenty of luxury custom vehicles to view. The greatest difference between a European custom and American classic based upon the aggressiveness and attitude that the vehicle naturally has. Many spectators wonder why cars such as Porsche, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW aren’t lifted and raised in the same way a modern Chevrolet or Dodge vehicle. The simple answer is: it’s just not the same. European and Japanese luxury sitting on large wheels has a greater “wow” factor when their suspensions changed to air ride so that the body is dropped over the wheels so when the vehicle stands still it has its own meanness about it.

The Best Car: 1964 Chevorlet Impala Convertible

There were Chevy Camaros, Corvettes and SS customs galore at the Miami 2014 Dub Show. Nevertheless, one car stood above the competition. Painted in candy apple red with matching engine bay and dashboard this Impala was ready for cruising. The trunk featured a magenta speaker box filled with 8-12″ sub woofers. The rims were no larger than a clean 24″ with the chassis sitting right below the top lip of the front rim. The best part about this car is the preserved and restored original suede leather interior seats. An amazing sight for all to witness.
